3rd July 2004 Windsurfing: Westward Ho! Wind Direction: w Wind Stength: F4/6 Surf / Sea State: Air Temperature: Sea Temperature: Weather: Max Speed: Distance Covered: Took out 5.7 & Flow,had good fun jumping wave after wave,the sea was rough with loads of white water,didn't get out the back with the onshore wind.The wind picked up enough for 5.0 & wave board,was plenty powered up but when gybing on the big & breaking waves i was stalling? & had a few rinsings,so got the flow back out with the 5.0 which worked loads better,not getting trashed by 6-7 ft walls of white water.There must be some kind of outlet pipe as the left hand of the beach the foam in the shallows was brown & i clipped my fin twice on something that felt metal?There was a few good kitters there getting big air,a few quite a way out instead of playing in the shallows,a kite did get blown up over the pebble beach & over some parked cars. |
